Laptop crashed during Windows 10 update, now won't start up. I can get into safe mode but don't know where to go from here.

I'm in safe mode but don't know what I can do, tried deleting the update but it's not showing that it happened in the recently installed updates list so not sure what to do. don't want to delete any files as my assignment is on there:/

Have you tried sfc / scannow? Try a repair install and see if it improves your issue.
