Laptop dell Inspiron is frozen

I was writing something and suddenly the keyboard froze, then the mouse, and now it is totally frozen.

Not even the power button works to reset it. And the keyboard remains with its red lights on, which should be off after so many minutes without using it.

It is completely frozen and I think I cannot remove the batter on this laptop.

What can I do?

I pushed it for 2 minutes and it didn’t respond.

The warranty would be difficult because I live in another country.

I waited for the battery to run out of energy, and just turn it on like 5minutes ago. It is working like normal, just made a system update and will run the mcafee antivirus that came pre installed.

What else should I do?

check the harddrive with its manufacturer´s tool
download the usb autoinstaller from memtest.org and install it to an USB flash drive, boot from it and let it check the RAM

power buttons can be difficult to push sometimes, press hard and be sure the button is still pushed down at all time, if this happens again
