Question Laptop disconnects only on ethernet

Hi all, I would appreciate any help at all.

Currently, whenever I am connected on ethernet, the ethernet likes to disconnect every few minutes. It then reconnects, but because I game, this creates massive ping spikes/lag and pocket loss.

I've already attempted numerous methods:
-flush dns cache
-clean registry
-reset ip/tcp
-this problem is not repeated on my other laptop, so it's not cable/router port
-system restored
-update drivers, then reinstalled drivers
-rebooted both laptop/router numerous times
-uninstalled avg antivirus, disabled firewall

I am unsure what could be causing the issue at this point now other than a hardware issue, which would be the worst case scenario. Does anyone have any possible solutions for this?

Make and model of your laptop? An SKU would help us two fold. Which version of the OS are you on(assuming you're working with Windows 10)?
