Laptop display broke, can I access the hard drive with my desktop

Laptop does not work and wondering if there is any way to access the hard drive using my desktop

Not a network question, but whatever. Yes, if only the display is broken you can hook an external monitor up to it and use it normally. If it is completely broken as your post suggests you'll have to take the hard drive out and physically attach it to the motherboard of your desktop, but either way it can be done, and your data should be fine.
