Laptop display has become very grainy please help

I allowed my son to play miecraft online on my laptop last night, I'm not sure what he has done but my laptop display has become very grainy. The laptop functions fine and you can see everything except the display is very grainy and pictures are very difficult to see. I've tried restoring it and tweaking with the display settings but have not figured out what's wrong
Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this please?

Looks like the screen is damaged. But before we guess here, try to update your display driver. Does the screen change colour? Does it flicker when you shake the screen? It might be several things actually. Try to see if the Motherboard is up to date, the motherboard updates tend to fix lots of things.

Yeah I know it looks like the screen is damaged but it's actually not, no flickering when shaken, no colour changes, just really grainy looking I'll try updating the display driver though, see if that helps, the laptop is functioning fine apart from the display issue

If the display driver isn't the solution, you should see if there's any new motherboard updates on the manufacturs website. This should fix it.
