Laptop display really dark

My laptops display has gone very very dark I checked it's not the inverter or LCD screen can anyone help

Check the shortcuts on your keyboard. One of the function keys (F--) should have a brightness icon on it. Find that key and use the Fn key and keep tapping the brightness key, does it turn the brightness up or change the visual at all?
