Laptop does not connect to a specific router

Hello,

Today i unpacked my new router, a zyxel NBG6816. I plugged it in, and i had internet. It worked better than my old router my dad bought many years ago.

But all of a sudden my laptop didn't connect to the internet anymore although i was connected with the router. I couldn't not open any sites etc. I received facebook messages so there was something coming through, but not enough to surf the internet.

Strange part of the story is that all other devices we've got, like smartphones, laptops and tablets do connect perfectly with the router AND got great internet as i had at first. When i connect to a wifi extender we have, i got internet and can surf, watch youtube etc.. I've been at school and i had wifi aswell. That has been a lot of hours ago though.

I am not a genius, all i can do is access the router and change the password and name. I have no idea about the other possible settings i can do.

Hope my story is complete enough to help me to get it to work as it should!

Try changing the DNS.

Is your laptop connected via wifi or ethernet?

Sorry for the late answer. A miracle happened and i could acces my wifi-router again and access the internet.
But just at this moment i doesn't work again. I tried what you suggested, changing the DNS settings. But it doesn't seem to work
