Recently I updated my drivers on my Lenovo ideapad 3 laptop using Driver Booster. When it was finished, the touchpad wasn't working anymore. I then tried to update the touchpad's driver in Device Manager as I've read in solutions on multiple websites. The problem was that I could not find the touchpad anywhere in Device Manager, so the laptop doesn't recognize the touchpad anymore.

I brought the laptop to a shop to fix it, but asks 45 euros (47 dollars) for it. I think that's too much and want to fix it myself.

How can I fix it? Or is it so much work/difficult it's worth the 45 euros?

That is your first and only big mistake. You update the drivers only if they're showing up on Lenovo's support site, after you've use the serial code/number for your laptop in said support portal.

You could uninstall your track pads drivers from Device Manager, reboot the laptop and see if that helps. You could reinstall your OS and manually reinstall all your laptop's drivers in an elevated command. I'm leaning on the latter since Driver booster can and will taint your OS and the drivers for your platform. Best start fresh with a clean slate.
