Question Laptop does not turn back on after going to sleep

I have a Lenovo 720S-13lkb laptop. When I close the lid the laptop screen turns off like its supposed to but when i open the lid the laptop screen does not turn on again. the power button is still on but no matter what the laptop wont turn on again. unless i hold down the power button and force shutdown. losing all my work and potentially harming the laptop. Somebody please help.

Goto control panel > Hardware and sound > Power options

and see choose what closing the lid does .

Yes i googled this problem and tried all that but it still happens. ive run out of warranty so lenovo support refuse to do anything

Is is set to trun off or sleep or hibernate ?

Try factory resetting . dont forget to backup your data.
