(Laptop) DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION error

I was just browsing the internet today when my laptop froze in google chrome and i got the error DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION error, after this, my laptop refused to start up so I let it cool down for a couple of hours. I finally got it to boot up after a restore but the BSOD problem keeps returning, also I can't do anything because my keyboard and mouse become unresponsive after 5 seconds but only the brightness keys works.

I'm thinking it's something to do with a faulty HDD as everything has been fine for the last month since i've had my new laptop. Any fix arounds this or will I have to return it? Got a lot of data I want to keep though such as my work etc.

Nope, not even an external piece of hardware, safe mode doesn't work.
