Laptop Drive space?

So my brother bought a "Modified" Acer Aspire E15 E5-571P From someone And Apparently he has 2 hard drives yet also a disk drive which makes me think there's not much room in the chassis of the laptop also, as far as i know, there's no Extra m.2 or nvme slot so I opened my laptop up (same one as his.) because I recently had to change the drive so can someone explain to me how he did it because he has 2 HDD or SSD's in his laptop and as well a functioning Disc Drive so Did he Brute force it in there or did he do some modification to the chassis or moved parts around?

There isn't any space or connection to place another disk inside that laptop model.
The only way is to replace the optical disk with a drive caddy.
I could be mistaken...Could you provide an image of the internal of his laptop?

He has 2 drives but he partitioned his into multiple sectors like one for steam games one for music ETC.
so if it looks weird blame him

He Said Im not gonna open my laptop until i need to clean it But i just take his word for it and assume it has multiple drives\

So for we know, as mentioned, one physical drive, multiple partitions.

Why is this so interesting to you? I wouldn't not want more physical drives on a laptop, more weight, suxs more power, more heat. Give me a single terabyte SSD any day.

A screencap of the Disk Management window would dispel all doubts and questions.
But it's probably just partitions on the single drive.

I like dual storage laptops, those you can get it cheap with a 256GB/512GB NVMe PCIe SSD, like the Inspiron 14.
It also has a SATA port so I added a 1TB SSD and it just weight 1.54kg.
