[SOLVED] Laptop DVD Drive to Portable DVD Drive, Is this possible?

I want a portable enclosure that I could use to do this, with a detachable usb cable?
What would you Suggest ?

Make and model of your DVD drive? There are 5.25" external enclosures and have been around for more than a decade(try 2). Another example but for 12.7mm tall ODD's.

I have several , all are sata and are identical to HL Data Storage model GT32N. I have a couple of older utility Desktops that I wanted discard the 5.25 DvD roms and add an extra HD in the bays, and I thought I might use the laptop dvd roms as portables. Thanks
