Greetings all!
I recently received a new laptop from work which includes a DVD drive. Is it possible to purchase a cable to hook up the laptops DVD to an external television? The laptop is an NEC VERSA SXi. Essentially, it is a PIII 650, 256 MB Ram, 8 MB ATI video card, Toshiba DVD player. I have visited the NEC website but there is no information relating to DVD output accessories. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
P.S. If it is possible to hook up the DVD to a TV, how would the image/sound quality be in comparison to a standard "home" DVD player?

I'm not familiar with that laptop, but are there any jacks concerning "video"?

Hi Arrow!
Thanks for the reply! There is a standard external monitor output jack on the rear panel. At Future Shop I was informed I could buy a special card which will swap with my modem to provide a TV out. Any experience with this type of output or ideas on the existing monitor output jack?
Thanks again!

for the time and trouble you'd go through trying to find a cable, it would be better to just buy a cheap dvd player for $100... the apex ones are good i hear

you would need some type of CRT to RCA or CRT to Svideo cable and i don't think they exist...
