I agree with Phillip Corcoran - It wont create any performance issues - But it could mean your device was dropped/dinted while being delivered to you. Honestly it probably isn't worth the hassle but if you want to, you could try and get it repaired/replaced.

Tldr; It wont really have any impact on performance/temperatures - however it could indicate you laptop was dropped/dinted in shipping - might be worth talking to the store you purchased it from.

As long as it doesn't impact the performance a little dent is fine...as I bought it from my local distributor in Singapore, our vendor here doesn't really covers RMA and I might need to wait for more than a week for them to repair the fins. Thanks for the reassurance.

It might be worth keeping a screenshot of the damage just for future reference - and maybe a screenshot of this webpage as well. Just in case.
