I have a toshiba satellite pro r50-b laptop.
Currently running: windows 10, 4gb of ram, Intel i5-5200U @ 2.20Ghz. Running Legacy BIOS
I have made sure that windows is fully up to date, most if not all start up programs are disabled and made sure that the display driver is up to date.
Even booting in safe mode doesnt make a change to the fan.
I have also taken out the battery, restarted and put the battery back in, no change (worked for someone apparently)
The fan is constantly going at 100% even though task manager is showing CPU at 4-10% load.
I have tried SpeedFan and Hwinfo but nothing has worked. I am unable to get into the BIOS.
I dont know what else to do. Without opening the laptop up and manually checking the fan, i dont know what else i can do. It doesnt look like there should be stuck in and around the fan, but would rather that be a last resort.
