Question Laptop fan keeps stopping

I have an acer nitro 5 with two controllable fans, one for the cpu and one for the gpu. One of my fans slowed and then stopped spinning entirely. I then opened my laptop and took apart the fans. it seems that my fan had some sort of resistance so it couldn't spin. i took it apart and cleaned them. And when i put them back there was no more resistance. But its been a few days and the problem has returned. It slowed and now it doesn't work at all. What is causing not to spin?

VERY likely the fan is worn out and the bearings have failed. May need replacement.

Maybe the fan wire became loose while you were repairing it or got teared up making it to fully stop it . You should try to replace the fan asap .
