Laptop for 15 yr old daughter - school, minecraft - ideas?

My daughter wants a laptop that will do basic web and Netflix but also has just enough power to run Minecraft and some simple games. Money is an issue - I need to keep it under $400. No need for touchscreen or anything fancy.

My research suggests Asus and Acer seem to have the best budget laptops - what do you think? Any suggestions?

you could look into a chromebook too. chromebooks run chrome OS but also have android apps so it would be able to run games like mincraft too.

asus makes some good ones
