Hey guys recently built a new laptop with the following specs.

Processor: i7 2670qm 2.20ghz 3.1 w/ turboboost

Graphics: AMD 6990's in crossfire

Memory: 4gb

Currently with starcraft 2 I get around 120 FPS on medium / low settings.

As the game goes on my FPS drops to around 60 and under. I understand SC II is very CPU intensive and I have a lower end CPU compared to my graphics card but is it bad enough to be causing that severe of a bottle neck? Especially given that I'm playing on medium / low.

Thank you in advance!

I don't have the exact numbers off hand but it was definitely a performance drop.
When I disable crossfire the "choppy" or "unsmooth" gameplay is visible right from the start.

Otherwise with crossfire the real slow down I get is on med / low settings about 15 - 20 minutes into the game. Usually around very heavy unit clumps or alot of effects.
