Laptop for University / After Effects

My daughter is off to college this fall. Her minor will be film and she likes editing so she will need a lap top that is fairly portable but with large SSD and graphics etc to handle Adobe After Effects and / or Avid. Wind 10 OK; MS student office and we are familiar with intel / Nvidia. Suggestions or is this still too open ended? I did look for 'best' for this application but prices are a bit high ~$2K. I was hoping for something at half that price.

In most laptops, the SSD is limited to max 512 GB, though not a big problem as you can upgrade later anytime.

A dedicated gpu would be useful but compact laptops with dedicated will likely be 1000+.

Dell XPS 9370 is great option if looking for a powerful and reliable laptop. It doesn't come with dedicated graphics but should be fine for 1080 p video editing.

Also, check out the Asus Zenbook 13.

OK thnx Sagar_20. Was hoping for more responses. I have the same aversion to Dell that I do to Chevrolets - not saying its rational mind. I will take a look at the Asus Zenbook.
