I have a Lenovo G50 with Windows 10 installed. It is booting up, and loading windows. It is then freezing on the "Please Wait" screen. If I hard restart it several times, I can get it to go into startup repair, and I can then click on "advanced startup repair". I have had this happen before, and I just did a system restore through there to fix the problem. Now, though, it is also freezing when I click on advanced startup repair. There is only the background color on the screen.
When I had this problem before, it was because of a Windows Update, and I just disabled updating, if that helps any.

UPDATE:
I have managed to get into startup repair by unplugging, removing battery, and holding the power button down, then rebooting. I successfully performed a system restore, and my computer is now working.
Does anyone know how I can prevent this from happening again?
