Hi, I just tried to update my BIOS to the newest version (it's supposed to help with Windows 2004 optimization and I've had been having issues with it locking up)

I was using HP Assistant, which installed HP BIOS Utility. PC was plugged in and it rebooted after utility finished "rashing BIOS". Then it booted kind of, with a "Programming PEI Region" message, after which screen just shut down. Fans are blowing hard, but nothing else is responsive.

After like 40 minutes of that I tried to shut it down, but pressing power button wasn't doing anything. I unplugged it but the charger indicator is still white (meaning it's detected as plugged in)

At this point I'm hoping the battery dies soon cause I can't do anything else with it. Any ideas as to what has caused this and how to proceed once it finally shuts down?
