Laptop getting hot when download stuff.

When i am download stuff (It doesn't even have to be big files or intensive downloads) It gets around 60-70 C. I see this problems in other peoples laptops and i know this properly can't be fixed but i just want to know the reason.
I have a Hard drive and not a SSD.

Solution

Well yeah its writing to the disk so the disk is picking up speed to install the new data.
It's like putting in a CD drive and you hear it spin really fast at first then it slows down then speeds up again if you were burning something to it.
Did you clear out the vents?
What kind of computer is it?
It's caused because its a 7200 RPM drive most likely spinning very quickly in a small condensed space with low airflow, and downloading stuff makes it work harder so it generates heat. The laptop cooling on these types of drives can be very hit and miss. I have a Dell Inspirion for example that gets HOT when downloading, but I do not have this issue with SSD drives.

It's from trying to put big old 3.5" hard drives that would work well on a PC but sticking it in a small laptop with low air flow and making the drive 2.5".

I is normal for it to be hot while download (It has done this since i got it) I just wanted to know why it does it? Is it because the computer is working harder to move files around?
