laptop graphics not working

so i recently updated my laptop and it worked fine playing fortnite at 150 frames and then i exit the game and come back and play again and its capped at 30 frames the laptop is plugged in and nothing changed but its capped at 30 frames now and i cant figure out why...
laptop: ge62 7rd apache

just tried running minecraft with graphics card and it worked but yet my fortnite is still capped at 30 frames. i also have tried uninstalling fortnite and installed it and still capped

i have its unlimited with no vsync
