Laptop Hard Drive crashed

My HP laptop stopped booting. I ran the system diagnose where it failed the hard drive check. How can I backup my data without booting laptop? Can the hard drive be repaired? Which softwares I could use for rescuing my hard drive?

You need to remove the HDD and put it in a caddy/USB device and have it plugged into someone elses computer (don't need a caddy if they have a proper pc and don't mind you plugging it in).
Then you should be able to get your information back.

It all depends on the damage.
In case of some minor damage, hdd can be connected to another working pc as secondary drive. Then you can attempt data recovery.
But if the drive is dead, then you can't do anything. Only professional data recovery services can do something there.

If you don't have access to another computer, I don't really see how you can do anything.
Does it show the HDD in BIOS?
