Laptop Hard drive

Solution
Probably. What's the laptop model? What's the desktop model? Some smaller form factor desktops don't have room for an extra drive.
If it's a SATA interface you won't have any issues other than getting a 2.5" to 3.5" bracket. If the desktop doesn't get moved around you 'could' just let the drive hang in there but I don't recommend it. If the laptop drive is an M.2 drive, your desktop MB would need an M.2 interface to use it, although you could pick up an adapter card.

You will NOT be able to run your current laptop operating system (with all the data and programs) on your desktop though, so if you want to use it as your primary boot drive an OS reinstall will be needed. All your programs will need to be reinstalled as well. Any data...
