Laptop hardware upgrade Dell E6440

I own a Dell Latitude E6440 i7 version, i want to upgrade my Laptop with a AMD Graphic card. Is it possible to add a graphic card without changing the motherboard ?

It depends on the mobo, GPUs are soldered to the motherboard in most cases. i don't know how it will be in that dell model. you can ask in dell forums. http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/

What is the service tag of the machine? Motherboards come in "discrete" versions with have the external graphics card. If it does not, you need a new motherboard.
