Laptop hdd not working

So I was messing around with my partions on an older computer and then a few reboots later all I got was a black screen. I tried making a bootable usb and installing windows again then I tried ubuntu and neither worked. Then I plugged it in to an external hard drive enclosure and I let it stay plugged in to my other computer for all night but it never showed up. However it was beeping all night. Anyone know how to fix this. Thankyou

check all your pc if all in AHCI mode or IDE mode go to bios maybe you install OS in IDE mode, it will not work if you use in AHCI mode.
