Question Laptop - HDD

I have a laptop that has a 1 TB HDD in it. I want to remove it and use it for my desktop. Should I delete everything / format the laptop and then remove it?

I don't rly use the laptop
I have games on it (LoL and Minecraft). Nothing special like photos etc etc.

Take it out, put it in the other system, then wipe it clean.
