Laptop help for college

I am looking for a laptop for college
My budget is $1500 max
What Im looking for:
-13-14 inch 1080p display
-256gb or more of ssd space
-good battery life
-no touchscreen
-I am a nursing major so im not sure if I want either an i5 or an i7 for my work
I was looking at the lg gram line and the dell xps line

I would put the thinkpad X1 carbon 6th gen near the top of my list.

You can configure it as you wish.

On a laptop, I think a ssd becomes much more important for performance than the i5/i7 cpu.

When i think of lenovo i think of all the red accents on it but despite me not liking red ill keep my options open

XPS is probably the best premium small form laptop to get. X1 is light but I don't like it much, we have maybe 8 of them at work and have had issues with 3 of them.
Light and slim don't make for good reliability or performance.

For a sturdy system I would go for a Lenovo T model, in 25 years of being in IT I have not found a better model range for non-gaming use.
