i have a older dell inspirion 7000 series it wont connect to my house wifi but it will connect to public library wifi what could i do

The long answer is long. What router, what standards are enabled in the router wireless setup for starters.

It is probably because your home WiFi uses a modern frequency however the library WiFi is on an old frequency. Buy a modern USB WiFi dongle.
