Hey guys, I've been up and running with this laptop for about 3 years now and my laptop battery is dead so i use my power supply to run my laptop. Recently i got my laptop serviced because my laptop would start up and my screen wouldn't turn on. the Service guy said my display ic chip died, so i replaced it and it was all fine, until the last 5 days. Its been crazy slow. I game a lot on this laptop and anyway is not games that need a lot of Graphic input use, it was mainly Warcraft 3 and Fifa 11, all those are old games and it would run on a 1 GB ram pc. And they started to lag like hell, i mean cmon Warcraft 3 will run on a 256 MB ram PC and it lagged like crazy , the screen literally froze for 5 seconds and later i see it would have passed on. it even happened to YouTube while watching videos and even in chrome when switching tabs. When i right click on my desktop it takes about 3 or 4 seconds to open. Even when Im typing something it delays for 5 seconds and all that i type appears totally after 3 or 4 seconds. I've tried everything like Malwarebytes , AVG and what not. So i re installed my OS from windows 8 to 8.1, Flashing everything completely and i tried my Warcraft 3 again and here i am with that lag again. What do you guys suggest i do ? I cleaned up my fan port too and found a lot of thick dust, but it dint change anything. Need HELP !

This is my specs >
Intel Core i3 2310M cpu @ 2.10 ghz (4 CPU's)
RAM - 2GB
Laptop model - HP pro book 4430s

I got this laptop just for college photo storage use because i did photography and i needed a laptop to port it to my clients.

I would then get a new laptop as you current one is definitely dead. The only other thing I can think of is to replace all the components inside of you laptop which will be hard to do as the cpu is soldered on. This will cost you more than buying a new laptop.

But this lag is on overall and not only when im gaming. So thats why im worried.

It sounds as if the laptop has had it. This can happen when laptops reach a certain age, they start to slow down and stop working. The only thing I can think of is that the cpu is completely worn out. This would explain the lag when doing normal tasks. You could try and replace the cpu and maybe the ram modules if they seem damaged but I really would get a new laptop as your current one is very low end and shouldn't be that expensive to get a similar model.

file:///C:/Users/Raj/Desktop/TEst.png These are the test results i got after doing WEI on my laptop. Do you think the laptop has had it ?

I can't see the file

Ok here goes :
System score - 4
Memory score 5.5
Cpu score 6.5
Video encode score 6.9
Graphics score 4
Dx9subscore 4.3
Dx10subscore 0
Diskscore 5.9

and then it said " physical memory available to the OS is less then 3.0 gb - 64 mb : limit mem score to 5.5 "

Yeah I guess a new one should do. Because this aint a high configuration either so yeah.
