Hi guys, so I have just gotten my laptop monitor screen replaced as it wasnt working. I got the part number from the shop and bought the exact same screen and sent it to the shop for replacement. Previously, i was able to change my refresh rate to 165Hz. But, after the replacement, i am unable to change the refresh rate to any other value, it is currently locked at 60Hz. Anyone has any idea why and how to fix this as I'm kinda frustrated about it ?

I have tried reinstalling drivers and updating them but still to no avail.

The LCD screen replaced is supposed to support up to 165Hz. Here's the report from HWINFO.

The reported NE156QHM-NY4 is a 165 Hz screen alright, but your laptop's only using the generic PnP monitor driver which is why it's locked to 60 Hz. You're missing the monitor driver.

What drivers did you try reinstalling?

What's the make and model of the laptop? The manufacturer ought to have the monitor drivers on their website.

Or I don't suppose you got any kind of backup media with Windows and the laptop drivers with the laptop when you bought it?

Hey, I've managed to get it to 162Hz max using CRU. but not able to get the maximum 165hz.

CRU wouldnt let me proceed if i increase it any higher than that. Not sure if its due to the pixel clock or something (came across something like that online talking about it but have no clue what is it about)
