Laptop is overheating, What should I do?

My laptop is overheating. At Idle It's ~60C and under load it's almost 90C! So what should I do? I'm using it for almost 2-3 years. I dissembled the laptop and I checked the thermal paste it was dried out. Applying new thermal paste should fix my problem?

deffinetly!
Clean the dry paste carefully and apply new one. also while at it clean your fan from the dust. make sure you put your laptop on flat clean surface or even better - get a cooling pad. its not that expensive and definitely helps keeping your laptop cleaner
