Laptop issues connecting to HDMI

So my laptop screens LED is broken so I have been using a 32" TV as a substitute. Recently I got a virus and I couldn't run any programs, so I just decided to factory reset it. After the reset, I can't connect it to my TV. Also note I can't do anything on the computer without the TV.

Issue is that the basic VGA drivers after a clean setup do not have the proper setup to run the external screen. Do you have a VGA port on the laptop? Try that one.
