[SOLVED] Laptop issues

My sister went to college and they provided this laptop. X7T78UA#ABA HP Notebook
She dropped out and she left the laptop in our camper. It’s been running a tad bit slow lately, I put a ssd in it and new thermal paste 1-2 years ago? I don’t remember. Anyways the fan is going bad aswell and I’m gonna open it up tomorrow for a clean and fresh paste but is this worth keeping?

It's good for school work and productivity tasks like MS's Office suite and browsing, nothing more. The laptop you have , i.e the HP 15-ba009dx, has an ODD which means you can use a secondary drive caddy to plonk the SSD there and retain the HDD, for some storage. Looks like you can upgrade the ram on it as well. I'd advise on making sure the laptop's BIOS is up to date as well.
