Laptop Keeps Disconnecting Internal Screen

Dell laptop with recently installed Windows 10 keeps going into external display mode. When the system loads Windows it disconnects the internal display, and the only way you can get anything to show up is to connect it to an external monitor. When I uninstall the video driver everything works perfectly, but as soon as I reconnect the computer to the internet the video driver reinstalls and it goes back to the black screen.

Any ideas? I tried searching for the driver on Dells website, but they don't even have a Video driver listed.

It would really help if you told us which model of Dell (they make a lot of different machines). The best clue is probably your last statement, that they don't have a driver. I'm assuming that there are some drivers for that machine, but not for Windows 10.
