Question Laptop keeps freezing

What steps should I take in fixing my HP ENVY m6-n010dx laptop to keep it from freezing?

Do you think that its heat related? If you are fmiliar with the inside parts of the laptop then you could redo the compound between the CPU and heat sink. Clean fans, etc. While your at it redo any heat sink that can be done with heat sink compound, such as GPU etc. If any are glued then don' force, ignore. Clean all dust thouroughly. You can wash plastic parts and filters with soap and water... Be thorough. If problem persists and you are desperate then you can google "reball HP ENVY"... If it is heat related please fix it before using the device or you can exacerbate any damage.

Well I took it into a computer repair shop and they said they cleaned it because there was some juice that was spilt on it. But I guess I could try taking a look for myself just to double check. I've never tried taking a laptop apart so i'm kind of concerned about doing that. I mean, i've built a pc, and i've re-done the compound in my old xbox 360 way back when it was having issues.
