Laptop keeps losing connection to network computers

My Windows 10 laptop keeps losing sight of my 8.1 media desktop. I also have a 7 and 8 laptop that each maintain a constant connection with the desktop. The desktop is on a wired connection while all three laptops are wireless. Any insight? I typically have to run a troubleshooter or restart both computers in order for rediscovery to take place. Looking to prevent the connection from dropping between two computers that that are constantly connected to the same network. Thanks!

Try hooking laptop up to ethernet cable while also plugged into power and see if it still drops connection.
Could be an issue with wifi or could be an issue with power settings.

The wifi never drops though, just the connectivity with other computers. Right now, I can play a youtube video on it and see every other computer on the network connected to it except for the one that has a wired connection. Suppose I could try a Homegroup connection just between the two...
