Hi,
A few days ago some of the keys on a laptop I have randomly stopped working. No damage was done, no liquids spilt. The backspace key does't work, all the F1 keys and other random keys. All of the letter keys work however.
So when this happened I just thought maybe some damage was done I didn't know about and I ordered a replacement palmrest/keyboard (the entire top piece of the laptop) I install it and the exact same problem still exists.
I then think maybe windows is corrupt and try to reinstall, I go into the BIOS and the same keys still do not work.
So to fix this I've tried:
Replacing the keyboard.
Flashing the BIOS.
Any ideas? Surely if the problem exists in the BIOS then reinstalling the OS will solve nothing.
