Hello there everyone,
I'm struggling with the laptop I bought:
HP Elitebook MT42
AMD A8 8600B quad core 1.6ghz / 3.0ghz
R6 gpu (APU) 512mb dedicated
1 stick of ram 8gb
M.2 sata 3.0 120 ssd
Freshly installed windows 10 home
The problem is that CPU usage in task manager is always higher compared to what apps are currently open, idle chrome tab causes about 30-40% CPU usage
Opening start menu or a folder seems laggy and takes a second, everything is not smooth at all
Although it's a fresh copy of windows on an SSD, it takes like a minute to boot into windows, while it takes 10 seconds ony my desktop PC
So, my question simply is, what is causing such lag and low performance and how to fix it, is a single stick of ram the reason for that?
Thanks in advance to anyone who will help me with that problem as laptop is unusable at the moment.
