Greetings everyone,

I recently moved to a Gigabit ISP and have had trouble on my laptop, an ASUS ROG G551JW.

My Wi-Fi Speed is 130 Mbp/s and the LAN speed is stuck at 100 Mbp/s, I've tried installing different versions of the Realtek drivers to no avail.

I have already tested the LAN cable on my other PC, a desktop from 2011 and the connection is working fine.

The cables used are CAT5E. Please, if you have any suggestion on how to resolve this issue it will be much appreciated!

Both of my computers are running on Windows 8.1.

This may not be the only problem but you cannot manually set the speed and duplex on your laptop adapter unless you also manually set it on the switch or router port it is plugged into. Usually on a router there is no setting. Thus the speed and duplex on your laptop needs to be set to Auto.

I tried setting it on Auto and it is the same, still at 100. My desktop gets the connection on 1 gbp/s duplex and auto.. I've no idea what's causing this
