ast night i finished watching some show and turned off my laptop and went to bed. This morning I woke up to realize theres no sound on my laptop. And that games when started up lag, they go frame by frame through the intro, takes 10 minutes to load into a menu and then it still lags, takes 3 seconds to switch a menu option.

I can be almost 100% certain that it is not due overheating, at least the game lag. It is a cold autumn at my place and my room has no heating, temperature never goes higher than 15c in my room. I also do monitor my temperatures with MSI afterburner and they stay steady around 65c when playing, 50c when im browsing.

Also plugging in headphones does not work.

Here's what I tried

Checked the volume options
Used the windows audio troubleshooter too
Also right clicked sound icon > Sounds and my speaker/headphone icon has a green check mark under it.

Rolled back yesterday's windows update

Device Manager (tried updating drivers, which finds no drivers and just tells me to go check if my whole Windows is updated and I can't seem to find AMD High Definition Audio Device drivers online)

Checking bios for advanced setting to look for audio settings but it is disabled by the manufacturer ( I tried fn + tab 3 times) NOTE: When I tried pressing fn + tab 3 times to enable the Advanced option I did hear a beep everytime i pressed key in the BIOS, not sure what that means but figured it would be useful

ran sfc /scannow returned :
"Windows Resor. Protec. found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. For online repairs details are included in the CBS folder..." (and i followed the path and only found folder called "Cbs temps" which had nothing inside)

Went to boot settings and opted for full boot

Ran the PC in safe mode just to check and the speaker icon had a red x next to it saying nothing is plugged in.

My PC:

HP Laptop

AMD Ryzen 5 2500U with Vega 8 integrated graphics and 8GB ram.
