I'm on an ASUS F8 Sp-X1 with an upgraded CPU (T8300).
I just upgraded it's ram to two 2GB PC2-6400. But the RAM runs at 333Mhz.

I checked BIOS, but it has no memory configurations or anything. What could I do?

PS. Crucial scan says my laptop does in fact support PC2-6400

Well firt off , ddr stands for double data rate so that 333 actually equals 667mhz, wich is rather standard for laptops

i reckon it does let it run it just not at those speeds, like its doing now. I dont know what chipset your laptop uses but with that you could find out if it actually can run at tha speed

Forgot to multiply the speed by two, but it was still running under what I expected. I'll never trust crucial scanner again. Everest seems to be more accurate. At least I paid about 6 dollars over the slower RAM. Not that much of a difference.
