Hello all,

Today I opened up my laptop to replace the thermal paste for the gpu and cpu, but when i removed the copper unit that connects the fan to both, I think I saw one of the screw holes securing the copper to the gpu spark. Not static. I saw no scorch marks nor smelled anything wrong, so I continued to do my business and reassembled the laptop. I put the back cover on to my laptop, but now it won't power on. My laptop won't charge either.

What should I do?

Thanks.
EDIT: laptop works when plugged into AC and battery is unplugged.
EDIT 2: IT WORKS! I unplugged the battery and held hte power button for 60 seconds, reconnected the battery and now IT WORKS!
