Laptop motherboard parts repair

Two weeks ago, I slammed my laptop(For a certain reason)..And. Now it is broken badly..It did not turn on....After that I took it to technician to fix it..He said he has to change some components of motherboard...Does change the components will help me use for a year or two????

How old is the laptop? What are it's specs? Why do you have to use four question marks?

It's about 3 yrs. old...It's specs are intel pentiumG3258, 6gb ddr3 ram, intel hd graphics 5500, 500gb HDD...I am just asking is that changing the components will do any good or not..

G3258 is not a laptop chip. Pentium 3805U or something? It should be relatively fine for web browsing and such. Consider swapping out the HDD for a SSD to add lots of speed to the system.
