[SOLVED] laptop not charging

I have a dell 15 5000 inspiron laptop, and i have replaced the battery and the charger and it still says plugged in not charging. I think it might be an internal problem. Maybe it's the ram or the motherboard. I would really like to know what the problem is so it can be fixed.

How long have you had the laptop?

There may be a problem with the connector / chip that operates the battery functionality. I would see if you could take the laptop to a local repair shop or call DELL and see what they say.
