Laptop not connected to wifi anymore. Shows Ethernet cable connection.

I turned on my laptop today and it's not connected to the wifi anymore and instead shows a symbol of that it needs to be connected to an Ethernet cable. I tried troubleshooting and it just tells me that it needs an Ethernet cable to be connected to the Internet. How do I change it back to wifi so I can use the wifi??

No internet is on in the house. I'm getting wifi on iPhone and iPad.

No I mean is wifi disabled on the laptop.. You have to press a function key to turn it off and on. It should light up when its on (it maybe blue). If it's off it maybe orange/amber

What's the function key? It's a hp laptop. I don't see a orange/Amber light either.

Theyre labelled F1,F2 etc along the top of most keyboards

Oh I tried all those and nothing.

I went into control panel > network and internet > network connections and it only has a Ethernet option, no Wifi option whatsoever, tried all the function keys and there was no wifi button for it. Network adapters only lists Realtek PCIe Family Controller. So do i have to download a Wifi driver again? Where and what driver???

If it doesnt appear in network connections it maybe disabled in the BIOS. It has to appear in windows somewhere. Before you can use it

If it doesnt appear above or device manager. Or if its enabled in the BIOS already, then it maybe dead
