[SOLVED] Laptop not connecting to 5G network of WiFi

As a start, I have a wifi network that has 2 separate bandwidths, a 2.4hz and 5G network. My laptop (Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15ARE05 model 81W4) easily connects to the 2.4 and 5G, regularly, which is supposed to happened. For some reason sometimes, whenever I open it up or reboot it, it sometimes does not connect to the 5G network, although I have figured out a fix, opening the device manager and reinstalling the network adapter, does the job of it connecting again. But it's starting to annoy me when i sudden get lag spikes mid-game and me realizing that my laptop hasn't connected to the right network, making me do the reinstall thing which only takes minutes, but it's starting to get annoying when it keeps on happening frequently. Anybody know to figure out what happens, or how to fix this? Thanks

Solution
I would go into the network control panel, manage wireless networks, and delete the 2.4GHz radio from your network list. You can reconnect by selecting it and typing in the passkey later if needed. But until then it will only be able to connect to the 5GHz radio.

the 2 different bands show up as 2 seperate networks in the list. when i've had this issue in the past, my first try is to tell it to "forget" the 2.4 ghz version.

this way it can't connect to it and only sees the 5 ghz one

No the thing is, my isp/modem has this, it even says on the router page/ip. It has 2 seperate networks for the different, the issue being not that it prioritizes connecting to the 2.4 rather than the 5, but the 5G network being unconnectable, keeps saying that it "Can't connect to this network" and fixes it with the reinstall adapter thing i have said. I have no clue if this is an issue with the network adapter, or to my router
