I know may people ask these questions but i really need help and have found no answers to why my laptop no longer detects any wifi even when i know the connection is there cause both my phone and laptop connect to it.
I have a new Lenovo z50that runs windows 8 and it use to detect and join wireless networks just fine and even has networks saved/remembered, now however it wont pick up any, not even my home wifi that it originally picked up when i first started it. I am in college however and have to use a ethernet cable in my room due to very slow wifi there. Now it wont show that wifi as existing either (my phone and wifi still pick it up) and it wont pick up any other wifi networks across campus, it acts as if there is no wifi networks out in the world now and im very frustrated with this
Obviously it cant be just our router since my laptop cant find any connections at all, anywhere. I've made sure wifi is turned on (this model does not have a switch on it, but in settings wifi is on). I've also gone into the control panel and made sure the wireless detector was working (which it said it was) None of this makes sense and i've tried almost everything i can find online to try and fix this, So if any one could help that'd be great!
