Laptop not locking and sleeping when lid closed while locked

I recently upgraded to win 10 and was wondering if anyone else is having the same bugs. I found 2 which are related to when you close the lid of your laptop.

1. If you close the lid when the laptop is unlocked, and then open it up again after it has went to sleep, it will not lock the laptop but re show whatever you were doing.

2. If you close the lid when it is locked, it goes into a deep sleep. This sometimes causes me to press the power button so that it wakes up but then it reboots itself I think and shows the lock screen again.

If anyone is having these issues, let me know if you have found a solution

You may have to reset your "choose what happens when you close the lid" settings. I did have to reset my preferences on my HP Envy laptop after the upgrade. If it still doesn't act right, I'd suggest doing a clean install. Many of the issues we're seeing after upgrading, do not seem to stick around with a clean install. Weird, but true.

Also, after an upgrade or clean install, give the system a day or two to cycle through it's update process. A lot of issues that seem to present at first get resolved after a few update cycles when the system finds and updates specific hardware drivers.
